Statistical Process Control

Situation:

ISO 9000 and Statistical Process Controls (SPC) implementation

An aerospace manufacturer wanted to obtain ISO 9002 certification. They were working within a tight time frame. They also required implementation of statistical process controls (SPC) to qualify for Lockheed Martin Appendix “Y” certification and Boeing D1-9000.

AEM Solution:

Under Doug Anton’s direction and facilitation, implementation began in January, starting with project planning, and education sessions for the key managers. A team was formed for each of the applicable ISO elements. Additionally, the SPC objectives were defined. Employees were educated in SPC techniques and assisted in implementation and appropriate use. ISO 9002 certification was obtained in September.

In another company:

“Doug Anton acted as project manager for our manufacturing software and ISO 9002 implementations. He also led improvements in our SPC process. As a result, our company has shown strong growth in sales and profit. Intercompany communications and cooperation between our two facilities have improved tremendously.”
